Seng is a grown man who hasn't quite grown up. Contented with spending his days at his father's famous, albeit small, restaurant and lacking true ambition, his life is turned around when his father, Huat, falls sick.

Not bearing to agitate his father, Seng has no choice but to plunge himself into the world of cooking, and a position of responsibility that he hasn't quite the skills for. But this soon reveals itself to be the least of his worries...

阿成是個長不大的孩子，正業是在他父親（阿發）著名的螃蟹米粉餐廳當助手。但滿足於現狀的他卻缺乏任何抱負與理想。不料，阿發突如其來的重病將阿成的生活顛覆了。

為了避免刺激父親的病情，阿成只好硬著頭皮接手父親的廚師位置，而這個重擔卻是平日遊手好閒、又少向父親學習廚藝的他無法擔當的。但是，這卻不是阿成最懊惱的事情...

《無蟹可擊》 Crab! runs for 24 minutes. Our vision for the film was, at the outset, for it to be widely accessible – that anybody watching it could relate to its dual themes of perseverance and family ties.

The idea for our story germinated from the old Hokkien song 爱拼才会赢 (roughly translated as: those who work hard will triumph). Indeed, the concept of 拼, or pursuing with dogged determination, was one which came up constantly in our discussions of the things that mattered to us, or that we believed in.

片長24分鐘的《無蟹可擊》以普羅大眾為出發點，目的在於傳達劇中的兩大主題－拼搏精神以及親情的可貴。

本故事的創作靈感來自一首耳熟能詳的福建歌曲 － 《愛拼才會贏》。而此精神也是製作團隊秉持的信念，因而產生了此故事概念。
